Lloyds is closing down its branch on Aldridge’s High Street on December 1 and King Street branch in Darlaston on the 6th December 2022

The two closures was announced by Lloyds Banking Group

Councillor Rose Burley, who represents Bentley and Darlaston North, said: “I’m not very happy about it because I believe they have got a large clientele. It’s always been quite full when I was there and one of our group have got an account with them.

“I think it will be a real loss for Darlaston. I wish they would have second thoughts on this because they have got some very loyal customers, and for those of certain age groups there’s nearly nothing left for them.

I’m extremely disappointed because I think a lot of the local residents and some of the businesses have got Lloyds bank.”
